What is the difference between CCT and Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)?

CCT is aligned with the job role of Support Technician and is focused on the ability to provide onsite service for specific Cisco networking and system devices during support, replacement, and maintenance events. The emphasis is on knowledge at the device level. CCENT is more broadly focused and validates the ability to install, operate, and troubleshoot an enterprise branch network with basic security. The emphasis is on knowledge at the network level, rather than at the device level. CCENT is also one-half of the requirements for achieving CCNA, which is the certification that focuses on the job role of a Network Engineer.
